Mission:

To inspire one that will inspire many,

I happen to be that one, plenty!

About: I Did It For A Smile, What's Your Motivation?

I'm a former The Ohio State University football player where I played for Coach Jim Tressel and now the Author of the profound poem entitled SOULFUL, during both of their tenures I received letters from President Obama (2) and President Biden (1) in regards to my work.

SOULFUL was born after I said: "Let me see that smile." to Shanté G. Swain;

She then went on this tirade about how I couldn't say sweet stuff to her and she knew what I was after, thinking I was using

"let me see that smile" as a vice to get her in bed or harm her in some way when that wasn't the case at all.

My only purpose for writing SOULFUL was to show her that I wasn't this monster trying to hurt her, that I loved her for who she was as a person, she never had to fear being hurt that deep again, and that her heart was safe with me. I didn't envision being in the middle of a race war let alone being a part of ending it. Nor did I envision getting two letters from the first Black POTUS in American history

but I understand that if my dreams are just about me then they aren't big enough.

I AM THAT CHANGE!

During the 2016 rnc in Cleveland, Ohio I was in the main hub where all things volatile was predicted to happen, nothing close to that occurred because I stepped up trusted God and took action like the true Leader I am. In which a trump supporter came to me with the sole intent to cause conflict because he seen a Black Lives Matters shirt on my body. This was after I did an interview with then Cleveland  Police Chief Calvin Williams and Officers from all over the world alone, during the time when unarmed Black Men and Women were being killed by the Police seemed like everyday. Not knowing that he then said to me: "look behind you do you believe those cops should be killed?" Then me responding with: "no, look at me do you believe I should be killed?" Led to us having a conversation that ENDED RACISM! By him being a white man from an older generation and me a black man from a younger one so many barriers were broken. And us agreeing that ultimately all lives can't matter until Black Lives Matter. Therefore,

 ADDRESSING THIS ISSUE...

  • Him: "Do you believe Cops should be killed?"

  • Me: "No."

  • Me: "Do you believe I should be killed?"

  • Him: "No."

... IN ORDER FOR US TO GET TO THAT PLACE.

For example, it's like the "wrong way sign" on the highway. One can go in that direction but the consequences will be swift and severe, same difference with the Racism Is Over photo, it's the new decree for all. This changes everything for the better, because something this powerful has happened on a major scale and it's right in front of you. Along with it forces accountability and it eliminates the excuse,

IT'S OVER!

Not just by the example of our power but by the power of our example!

My message instills, sustains, and elevates purpose in all areas of life and isn't just predicated to racism. Along with freeing many from a personal hell and or prison that no one knows about—that leads to such acts as: police brutality, gun violence, domestic violence, suicide—mental health problems, etc. Soulful, Racism Is Over, and I Am That Change bring it all together—instilling hope, life, unity, courage, and prosperity. Instead of destruction, death, division, and despair. Let's Rock!
